Posting rules

Our groups are named "NO SPAM" for a reason. The rules keep the audience worth reaching.

  • Post as the business you verified, from the profile you registered.
  • Stay on topic: local business news in a community group, housing and moving in a housing group.
  • No multi-level marketing, crypto, lending or work-from-home offers. Nothing that asks for a deposit before a viewing or a visit.
  • Housing posts must follow the Fair Housing Act and local fair-housing laws.
  • At most one post per group per day, and no repeat of the same post within seven days.
  • Every business post ends with the verified line: "Verified business · housingrocket.com/promote".
  • Two strikes end the plan. A scam report from a member is an immediate removal.

What is a Verified Business?
A local business that Housing Rocket has checked and pre-approved to post in the groups it chose. Business and promotional posts in our groups go through review; a Verified Business skips the queue, and every business post carries a verified line so members can tell it apart from a neighbour's post.
Who counts as a business?
You are a business if you post on behalf of a company or brand, manage more than three units or listings, or are promoting a product or service. Residents posting about their own home, a question, a recommendation or a lost pet, and individuals looking for a room, roommate or tenant for their own home, post free.
Which groups can I post in?
Any active Housing Rocket group: our local community groups (for example the Dallas–Fort Worth town groups) and our 775+ city and college housing groups. You name your groups on the short form after checkout, and the Unlimited plan covers up to five.
How quickly am I set up?
Usually the same day. After checkout, tell us your groups and your Facebook profile. We verify the business, then add your profile to the pre-approved list in each group, so your posts publish without waiting for review.
What can a Verified Business post?
In a community group, anything a local business would tell its town: openings, offers, events, listings, services. In a housing group, posts must be about housing or moving. Everywhere: no multi-level marketing, crypto, lending or work-from-home offers, and housing posts must follow the Fair Housing Act. At most one post per group per day, and no repeats within seven days.
Can I cancel, and what about refunds?
Subscriptions can be cancelled any time and end at the close of the paid period. A Single Post declined for breaking the rules is refunded in full. If we cannot deliver a plan, for example because a group is no longer available, we refund the unused time.
