About Housing Rocket

Housing Rocket moderates Facebook housing groups and runs this website, which lists those groups, sells optional post-promotion services, and shares housing safety guides and member deals. By using the site you agree to these terms.

We are a directory and moderation service, not a party to rentals

Listings inside our Facebook groups are posted by group members, not by Housing Rocket. We are not a landlord, broker, or agent. We do not own, inspect, or vouch for the properties posted, and we are not a party to any agreement between members. We review member profiles and sample posts to remove spam and scams, but we cannot check every post and cannot guarantee that any listing is accurate or legitimate. Always verify a listing yourself before sending money. Our safety guides explain how.

Paid services

• Post Approval ($7.50) moves a post you have already submitted to one of our groups to the front of the review queue.
• Featured Post ($32.50) pins your post to the top of a group with a Featured badge.

Prices are in US dollars and payments are processed by Stripe. Priority review does not guarantee approval: posts that break a group's rules, are not about housing, or look like spam or a scam are still declined. If we cannot deliver a service you paid for, contact us and we will make it right, including a refund where appropriate.

Group rules

Members must follow each group's rules and Facebook's Community Standards. Posts must be about housing, must not be fraudulent, misleading, or spam, and must not discriminate. Housing advertisements must comply with the US Fair Housing Act and any local fair-housing laws. We may remove posts or block members at our discretion to keep the groups safe.

Third-party links and referral disclosure

The site links to third-party websites, including Rakuten and the offers on our Member Benefits page. Some of these are referral links: if you sign up or buy through them, Housing Rocket may receive a commission or bonus at no extra cost to you. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, offers, or terms. Facebook and Rakuten are trademarks of their respective owners. Housing Rocket is not affiliated with or endorsed by either company.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to send spam, scrape data at scale, attempt to access administrative areas, or interfere with its operation.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and our services are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Housing Rocket disclaims all warranties and is not liable for losses arising from rental transactions between members, from third-party sites, or from your use of the site, beyond the amount you paid us for the service in question.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
