Can I use Housing Rocket groups to find housing outside the US?

Short answer
Yes. Housing Rocket moderates 775+ Facebook housing groups in 50 countries, so there are groups for many cities and universities outside the US as well. The joining rules and post review are the same everywhere, but rental customs and tenant laws differ a lot by country, so learn the local basics before you pay anything.
Search our group directory for the city or university you are moving to, and join before you arrive so you can watch prices and ask questions. Moderators still check your profile, so use your real account and say in the membership questions when and why you are moving.
Expect differences like these, and confirm the current rules locally:
- United Kingdom: London listings are often priced per week (pw) as well as per calendar month (pcm). In England and Wales, deposits for most tenancies must be protected in a government-backed scheme.
- Canada: rules vary by province. Ontario generally allows a last-month's-rent deposit but not a separate damage deposit, and in Quebec many leases start on July 1.
- Australia: the rental bond is usually lodged with a state or territory authority rather than held by the landlord.
- Germany: the cold rent (Kaltmiete) excludes heating and service charges, and unfurnished flats can come without a kitchen.
