Short answer
Facebook housing groups are run by their own admins and moderators, not by Facebook. Anyone can create a group, so admins range from a single student to a team managing many groups. Facebook sets platform-wide rules and handles reports that break them, but each group's admins decide who joins, what gets posted and what is removed.
That means quality varies. Some groups have no active admins and fill up with spam. Others screen every member and every post. Before you rely on a group, read its About section, check who the admins and moderators are on the Members tab, and scroll the feed for duplicate or suspicious posts.
