Should I put my exact address in a rental listing?

Short answer
Usually not. Give the neighborhood, the nearest cross streets or the distance to a landmark or transit stop, and share the exact address only with people you've booked for a viewing. That tells renters enough to judge the location while keeping your home off a public feed and harder for scammers to copy.
Listings with a full address and good photos are easy targets for a known scam: someone copies them, reposts the place at a lower price and collects deposits from people who never see it. Holding back the address makes that harder, and it means you decide who turns up at your door.
Other things to keep out of photos and posts:
- House numbers, street signs and mail visible in photos.
- When the place will be empty or when you are traveling.
- Door codes, lockbox details or where a key is kept.
- Your phone number, if you are happy to talk on Messenger first.
For a whole apartment, naming the street is common and helps renters check the block. For a room in the home where you live, cross streets are enough until someone is booked.
